First-ever holiday pre-sale

By Keith Tomasek, December 4, 2018

The Stratford Festival is offering its first ever pre-sale for all the shows in the upcoming season.

This is the first time the Stratford Festival has provided the opportunity to buy tickets during the Christmas season. In the past, only members could purchase tickets at this time. Show tickets, or a Stratford Festival holiday gift card are a great gift for the person on your list who has everything.

The pre-sale is available for all performances and seating sections, including the Stratford Festival’s new Bravo Zone, which offers 150,000 tickets at $41, including all handling fees.

This offer is only available for one week: December 8 to 14. The box office opens to the public officially on January 4.

I’ve created a handy list of all the shows on the 2019 playbill.

For the Shakespeare fan in your life consider “Othello,” Directed by Nigel Shawn Williams.

The musical theatre fan in your life will love tickets to either “Billy Elliot the Musical” or “Little Shop of Horrors.” Both are directed by Donna Feore. Based on the reviews of her shows this season those two shows might be your last chance to see Feore’s work at Stratford before she heads to Broadway!

The whole family will enjoy seeing “The Neverending Story.” Directed by the always innovative Jillian Keiley, this show is filled with wondrous other-worldly creatures that will delight everyone on your list.

For those wanting to explore cutting-edge new theatre, the world première of “Birds of a Kind,” which has been winning awards in Paris, and the newest play from Kate Hennig, “Mother’s Daughter,” are great choices.

Tickets are available for pre-sale December 8 to 14, online at www.stratfordfestival.ca, by phone at 1.800.567.1600, or in person at the Festival Theatre box office at 55 Queen Street, Stratford.
