Don’t miss Stratford Summer Music’s fabulous Musical Salon, an elegant and exciting fundraiser, this Sunday, May 1 from 2-4pm at the Bruce Hotel, Stratford’s most luxurious destination.
Enjoy the chefs’ world class treats and the sommelier’s hospitality while listening to a diverse selection of music from the upcoming Stratford Summer Music season.
Performers include:
A Sondheim Jazz Project
Don’t miss this unique jazz combo dedicated to the works of Sondheim.
NPR’s Francis Davis chose “A Sondheim Jazz Project’s” CD “City of Strangers” as an honorable mention in their “Best Jazz Albums of 2014” category.
For jazz fans, beautiful, intelligent songs are made stylistically legible to people who might otherwise reject “show tunes” out of hand; for theatre folk, “A Sondheim Jazz Project” presents a fresh engagement with the underlying power of material that may have become too familiar from cabarets and auditions.
