In June, Blowes Travel was honoured to receive the ‘2018 CWT Canada Associate of the Year’ award in recognition of their 70 years of service.

It all began back on March 31, 1949, when Stan Blowes officially opened Blowes Travel. Barry (Sam) Blowes bought the business from his father in 1969 at which time Stan retired. Currently, Barry’s son Rob Blowes is the Vice President of the business. Rob says that in his years of service, he’s seen the industry change dramatically with hi-tech computer programs now helping people plan and book everything from international travel to integrating with credit card reward programs.

Rob and several staff members attended the ceremony to receive the ‘2018 Carlson Wagonlit Travel Canada Associate of the Year’ award. The ceremony marks the second time Blowes Travel has been recognized as a national leader in the travel business, first winning the award in 2009.

“It’s an honour to be recognized as CWT’s Associate of the Year 2018 for Canada. The biggest attribute of this is staff commitment to customer service at all our offices,” says Rob.
