I was in Stratford this weekend, where for the fist time in my life, I imagined seeing a Taylor Swift concert. It all began at Blowes Stationery in Stratford on Wellington St., where I noticed a charity raffle to support the United Way. The prize is a pair of VIP tickets to see Swift’s concert in Toronto.
Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Erin and Mike Heisz, United Way Perth-Huron is running a charity raffle with two tickets to see Taylor Swift live in concert in Toronto on November 23.
The raffle supports UWPH’s United Housing initiative, the region’s first non-profit housing organization dedicated to developing and operating mixed rental units.
Dr. Erin Heisz said in a press release, “We are so happy that 100% of the proceeds will help advance this local initiative. By making the raffle tickets affordable, we hope to give every Taylor Swift fan the chance to experience an unforgettable concert while also contributing to a truly meaningful cause!”
United Housing Director Kathy Vassilakos said, “Every ticket purchased helps us continue to build on our mission to provide affordable housing solutions for those in need.”
