Peller Estates Winery held their second Food Truck Eats event last May during the long weekend.
20 food trucks including the Itty Bitty Pie Company, The Big Chief and Bonfire Catering provided a variety of food for the attendees. 20 of Peller’s wines were served as well.
The Niagara region is famous for their wineries, and food trucks provide a casual opportunity to mix and match a great variety of foods and wines.
The Food Truck Eats event was a great weekend, and I look forward to the next one.
Here are some reviews of the event:
Rose & Peanut Butter?
“Parsons said Peller paired up the wines with foods largely by flavour profile – a rose, for example, with one truck’s peanut butter-topped twist on a burger.”- Jeff Bolichowski, Niagara Falls Review
“…the combination of wine and food truck food was a real winner…All the food I tried was simply amazing.”- Edgar and Juliana Vieira, Tips are Included!
A variety of food for a variety of guests
“Not only did the event sell out faster, but it was bigger than last year in terms of the number of food trucks that were on the grounds of the Niagara-on-the-Lake winery, said Suresh Doss, publisher of Spotlight Toronto and co-founder of Ontario Food Truck Association.”- Dave Johnson, Erie Media.
“There was also a diverse group of attendees, from toddlers to seniors – it was a happy day for everyone!” – Chanry Thatch, The Hungry Gnome
