Crew enjoys the material "the source material is wonderful, full of wit and aphorisms" and Bedford "I can think of few actors that I would rather spend an afternoon watching than that mesmerizing veteran Brian Bedford" but wasn't enamoured with the production.

"I was not prepared for the impact of seeing Brian Bedford reading “Ever Yours, Oscar” this afternoon (June 19). I have read and seen plays about Oscar and read books on his life, but this afternoon’s performance by Mr. Bedford was illuminating beyond words.
