Bedford's Bracknell Bound for Broadway

Postby Keith » Thu Mar 25, 2010 4:39 pm

The Roundabout Theatre Company is presenting a revival of "The Importance of Being Earnest" starring Brian Bedford who will also direct the production, seen at the Stratford Festival last summer. The Globe and Mail's J.Kelly Nestruck added: "The Roundabout did not announce whether any of the members of the creative team or cast from the 2009 Stratford production will move with Bedford to Broadway. But Roundabout artistic director Todd Haimes told Playbill: "The design will certainly be adjusted to fit the American Airlines Theatre, but we plan to keep it largely intact. Many of the cast members, though not all, will remain from the production at Stratford.
We'll see - but it would be a crime to bring this production to Broadway without Ben Carlson's Jack and Mike Shara's Algernon!"
